NEW YEAR GONG BATH

The first day of the year often carries the echoes of the months before – the pace, the celebrations, the unfinished thoughts. This New Year Gong Bath (Neujahr Gong Bad) is a space to gently lay all of that down. Instead of starting 2025 with pressure and resolutions, you are invited to begin with rest, sound, and presence.   In this one-hour sound healing journey – a gong Klangreise / Klangbad – you simply lie down, close your eyes, and let layers of vibration move through your body. 60 minutes of continuous gong sound (eine tiefe Gong Klangreise) to soothe and reset your nervous system. A gentle, quiet New Year reset – perfect if you feel tired after the holidays or want to start the year calmly. Minimal talking, maximum receiving – short welcome, then you rest in sound. A guided New Year sound healing journey (Klangreise) in Berlin, suitable for all levels. A cosy closing with tea, so you can land softly back into the evening.

THE EXPERIENCE – DIE ERFAHRUNG

We begin with a brief welcome and a few moments of grounding. You find a comfortable resting position, supported by mats, blankets and cushions. When the gongs start to play, the room fills with layers of tone and vibration. The harmonics move through the body like waves, sometimes gentle, sometimes more intense, inviting your system to release what it no longer needs. Many people experience:

  • a deep sense of relaxation and spaciousness,
  • less mental noise and more inner quiet,
  • a feeling of lightness after the session.

After around one hour of sound, we return slowly, take a few breaths together, and share a short tea time for those who wish to stay a little longer. ​ You might notice waves of vibration, subtle emotions flowing through, or a deep, grounded stillness. This New Year Gong Bath / Klangbad in Berlin is for you if you would like to:

  • start 2026 with a clean, calm inner slate,
  • give your nervous system a gentle reset after the holidays,

  • or deepen your existing practice with a focused one-hour immersion.

​ No previous experience with yoga, meditation, or sound is needed. If you can lie down and listen, you can join.

Dhiraj

Dhiraj is a sound practitioner and gong player (Gong & Klangheilung) based in Berlin. His sessions create a calm, steady space where the nervous system can unwind and the mind can soften. Rather than performance, his focus is on presence – allowing the sound to do its work while participants are invited to rest deeply and listen inwardly.   For this New Year Gong Bath / Neujahrs Gong Bad, Dhiraj holds a minimalist, quiet container: simple, clear, and spacious, so that you can begin 2026 in resonance with yourself.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Comfortable, warm clothing and socks.
  • Optional: your own mat / blanket if you prefer (studio has mats and props).
  • Water bottle.
  • A cup for tea
  • Any extra cushion or eye cover that supports your rest.

**IMPORTANT NOTES – HINWEISE** ​Gong sound can be deeply soothing and supportive. To help you have the best experience, please take a moment to read the following:
  • If you are taking medication for anxiety, depression, sleep issues, blood pressure, or any condition affecting the nervous system, the depth of relaxation may feel more amplified.
  • Those with epilepsy, sound sensitivity, PTSD, a history of trauma, or certain mental-health conditions may find that the layered vibrations evoke unexpected sensations or emotions.
  • If you are pregnant, particularly in the first trimester, please join only if it feels right for you and after consulting your healthcare provider.
  • Participants with hearing aids or cochlear implants may wish to adjust or remove them if the sonic field feels too intense.

  If any of these relate to you—or if you are unsure how your body may respond—please check in with a healthcare professional before attending. Throughout the session you are always welcome to shift positions, sit up, rest, take breaks, or step outside.
