Join Elizabeth St. Hilaire and the Essence of Mulranny team for an unforgettable art excursion to the Kingdom of Nepal. This 12-day art retreat of a lifetime begins with a few days in the colourful, ever-friendly chaos that is Kathmandu, followed by several days of painting in gorgeous Pokhara at the foot of the mighty Annapurna range of the Himalayas. You’ll create an extraordinary original collage scroll painting, enjoy sightseeing in some of the most beautiful places on earth, and return inspired by Nepal’s rich visual culture.

Create a Mixed Media Nepalese-Inspired Goddess Portrait

Join a colorful and soulful mixed media workshop inspired by the sacred Paubha painting traditions of Nepal’s Newar people. Closely related to the Tibetan Thangka, these devotional images celebrate Hindu and Buddhist deities with exquisite detail and symbolism. We’ll take inspiration from the Kumari - the living goddess of Nepal - as we build layered goddess portraits using painted papers, textured collage, and expressive acrylic techniques. You’ll learn how to merge ancient tradition with contemporary creativity to produce a one-of-a-kind work that radiates beauty and spirit. Open to all levels - no experience required. Supply list will be given closer to the start date. Come explore culture, color, and creativity on this immersive Nepal painting workshop and art adventure.
