Festival of Sensuality - Yurt Camp near Prague

Overview

The Festival of Sensuality is a beginner-friendly event. It’s a small festival with just 60 places for participants to join our team of 30 teachers, volunteers and musicians. We keep numbers down purposefully so that we can maintain an intimate atmosphere where it’s easy to make friends and get to know each other over the week.

It’s also a participatory festival which means that, while most of the program is filled with the workshops from the wonderful teachers we invite, you’re also invited at the end of the week to make a workshop and you can always bring a song to the fire.

And in general we invite you to help create a warm and welcoming community where we extend compassion to one another to create the atmosphere of support and kindness needed for everyone to open up. As we go through the week there will be laughter, there will be tears and we want to feel heard and seen by one another with open hearts.

Program & Daily Life

• Every day you will go to the tea tent to consult the workshop board and choose which activities you want to go to. The workshops will take place in the enormous yurts, in the field and the nearby forest.

• Breakfast is self-service and then we have lunch and dinner together where we’ll announce the workshops of the day and any other info you need to know. The food is all vegan and there are gluten-free alternatives.

• All the food and tea and coffee is included in the ticket price so once you’re at the Festival of Sensuality you won’t need to think about using money - everything is covered.

There are just 60 places available to join our team of 30 teachers, volunteers and musicians.

Full details on how to get to the festival and what to bring etc will be sent to you once you’ve booked.

You must however arrive on Saturday the 16th August - we need everyone to be there so we can establish the guidelines of safety and consent for our temporary community.

Do you agree that:

• before touching someone else you need to ask their consent?
• if someone says ‘no’, it means ‘no’?
• just because someone has said yes once, doesn’t mean it’s a yes forever i.e. they can change their mind?
• everyone has the right to assert their own gender and sexuality and you will respect that?
• while sexuality is part of the festival it’s not a place to come with the expectation of having sex?

It’s great to start the event with everyone on the same page about how we can create an atmosphere of trust where vulnerability and curiosity can flourish.
