About the founder
Founder of Haven, Elena Menci is an international yogi who trained and taught across Bali, India, Dubai and Mallorca. She is a 700hrs certified Yoga Teacher, trained in Vinyasa, Yin, Swing and Ashtanga Yoga with Iyengar props. Elena also studied Functional Anatomy, Sports Massage, Guasha, Cupping and Osho Meditation, and she continues to deepen her study of the human body and mind—the power of one’s mind fascinates her most.
Born in the eastern part of Slovakia by the High Tatra Mountains, nature has always been central to Elena’s life. After a career in the luxury fashion & diamond industry and pivotal life events that led her to yoga, she changed career paths to become a teacher. With a vision to create a nature-centered, intention-led community—a non-judgmental, safe space where people can connect, exchange experiences and feel at home—Elena moved to Portugal after living in the Middle East for 10 years to build this community in the sunny Algarve.
