Welcome to the “Realm of Creativity” , a four-day immersive experience held at the heart of Le Moulin d’Abondance – a living community devoted to creative expression, connection with nature and with humans.
From the moment you arrive, you enter a living fairytale.
Guided by a great Wizard and his spirits companions, we journey through story, transformation, and rituals.
There are no schedules carved in stone – only invitations: to re-become human, to explore barefoot, to paint the wind, to dance with the river, to feast in silence or with our hands.
This is not a retreat for the mind – but for the senses, for the soul, for the wild, creative self inside you.
Whether you're a child or an elder, a speaker of French, German, or no common language at all – here, you'll be understood through colour, through music, through the soft joy of being seen and celebrated.
Come as you are. Remember your essence. Leave with a new story.
📖 The Storyline
In a time when humans became too serious, too structured, and too word-bound, the Spirit of the Earth took their language away.
Left only with gestures, colours, and sounds, they were guided by elemental beings to rediscover creativity, joy, and connection.
This retreat is their journey – your journey – back to the essence of being: painting with the wind, dancing with fire, singing with the stream, and remembering the child within.
From arrival to departure, participants live inside this story.
A great wizard opens the tale on the first evening.
In the morning, they awaken into new creatures, guided into creative realms in a non-verbal space.
The days unfold like dreams – through paint, movement, clay, nature, food, silence and laughter. Rediscovering progressively the words, in a poetic, conscious and simple way.
On the final day, a fire gathers the tribes, each bringing back their creative treasure to restore the power of their words – but only if they vow to use them with love and presence.
🥋 Inclusion of the Collective
The Moulin d’Abondance collective is the living heart of the retreat:
- Each member offers one or more workshops in their own creative medium – music, dance, art, foraging, food, ritual, games.
- Languages are minimalised, or even just replaced by sounds, gesture, symbol, and touch – embracing the multilingual reality of the space, words can be used but consciously, in an artistic/poetic way.
- Children and elders are both guides and learners – integrated fully.
- Meals, fire rituals, and space-holding are co-created with care and warmth by the collective.

To offer a transformational and playful space that:
- embodies the multicultural, multigenerational and creative spirit of the Moulin d’Abondance,
- reconnects participants with their innate creativity,
- transcends the limits of language through embodied, sensory, and spontaneous expression,
- builds bridges between young and old, newcomer and local, introvert and extrovert through joyful shared experiences,
- seeds inspiration for living and co-creating with more presence, colour, and connection.

Le Moulin d'abondance :
A young collectiv that animate a little paradise that runs along the Combeauté River, a land inhabited by an abundant ecosystem, a natural swimming pool, a house with magnificent bedrooms, a large multipurpose room and multiple old buildings.
