The Friday 05:00 PM – 06:00 PM Back Bending class focuses on opening and strengthening the front body, including the chest, shoulders, and hips, while improving spinal flexibility and posture. The practice counteracts the negative effects of prolonged sitting and forward hunching by stretching the anterior muscles and strengthening the back muscles. Backbends boost circulation and energy, enhance mental focus, and promote emotional release by energizing the heart chakra. Common poses include Cobra, Bridge, Locust, and Standing Backward Bend, adjusted to accommodate all levels of practice. This class helps participants feel rejuvenated, stronger, and more balanced physically and emotionally.
