The idea for Lumaya emerged in Rishikesh, India. During a six-month break and a journey through the country, it became clear how vibrant the world of conscious events is—and at the same time, how difficult it can be to access. Many offerings were shared through flyers, personal recommendations, or closed messaging groups. Back in Berlin, a similar pattern appeared. For those who are well connected, events are relatively easy to find. For many others, this world remains hidden. Even within existing groups, keeping an overview can be challenging. This experience led to the idea of creating an open, structured place where conscious offerings become accessible.
About Lumaya
Lumaya is a platform that makes conscious events, retreats, and one-on-one offerings visible. It helps people find suitable spaces for mindful practice—both locally and while traveling. Lumaya does not host or curate events. All listed experiences are created and held by independent facilitators.
How Lumaya Came to Be
What Lumaya Is For
Lumaya aims to make life-changing events accessible to more people. We believe in the power of mindful events, retreats, and genuine human connection—as spaces for exchange, connection, and personal development. Not as a promise, but as an invitation.
Today
Today, Lumaya is supported by an international team of six core contributors across three countries. Together, we continue to develop the platform thoughtfully and expand it into new regions.
Who Lumaya Is For
Lumaya is for people who want to grow—in connection with others. For those who seek mindful practice while valuing genuine human closeness, encounter, and connection. The platform is intended for people who live openness and see diversity as enrichment. For those who reject exclusion and approach differences with respect—regardless of origin, skin color, gender identity, sexual orientation, or belief. Lumaya stands for an inclusive space. For connection over separation. For meeting each other on equal footing.
