About Alex Serra & Totidub & The Space Crew
After traveling the world since 2012 with a backpack and a small guitar, from Mexico to Argentina and across the ocean to South Africa, Alex Serra had experienced the most transformative journey of his lifetime. Connecting him with musicians from different musical roots and permeating his music with a regenerating energy. When he got back home to Barcelona in 2016 he began to write and produce a collection of songs inspired by this new world he had experienced.
In late 2017 Alex was searching for someone who could help elevate the sound of the music he’d created. ‘You should meet my friend Totidub, he makes epic beats.’ - one day he got this message from a friend they had in common.
Creativity exploded when these two nerds got together. Toti became a kind of beat guru to Alex, like the musical equivalent of Emmet Brown and Marty McFly from ‘Back to the Future’. They immediately connected and joined forces to expand Alex’s Musical Universe through the power of Dub.
Since then Alex Serra has released two albums with the master touch of Totidub, infused with Soul, Downtempo and Dub flavors. ‘In the Real World’ (2019) and ‘Trance Life’ (2023) are one of a kind pieces of art and have rooted deeply in an emerging subculture that is growing strong all around the World. The thirst for connection and intimacy within a humanity that is becoming increasingly polarized since the global epidemic of 2020, is unstoppable. More and more humans are waking up to the desire of living in harmony with nature and feeling supported by their community, sharing values and growing together.
Since the release of their first album, Alex Serra & Totidub have toured all around the world. Connecting with festivals and conscious communities all around Europe, Mexico, USA, Bali, Colombia, Argentina, Brasil, Chile, and Costa Rica. This journey has opened their minds to a new understanding. Music and arts are key in the evolution of humanity towards a kinder and more loving world.
Their concerts with the full band, The Space Crew, have become a sort of art activation in the spiritual subculture of Barcelona and Ibiza. Combining with the talents of musicians Didak Fernandez (drums), Adri Gonzalez (Synths), and dancers Pau Arnal, Kenya Sauer, Irene Baeza and Guillem Ripoll, the intention as a band is to hold a space of intimacy and vulnerability where the crowd can release blocked emotions and really tune into a natural sacred energy that connects all humans.
The intention of the Dub is the Way Tour is to make these art-spirit activations all around Europe and Spain, and to continue to weave with this global community of humans that are wanting a change towards a more loving and caring way of being in the world.
Support Act: Sophie Alice & GUACAYO
Sophie Alice is a multilingual vocal alchemist weaving intimate, cross-cultural soundscapes from organic acoustic textures, Latin folk roots, and ambient atmospheres. Led by her ethereal yet powerful voice, her lyrics explore landscapes of personal transformation, nature, and human connection, carrying the gentle pulse of medicine music. She plays with roots and language, e.g., by delicately weaving traces of her German mother tongue into her mainly English and Spanish lyrics.
Each song becomes a quiet ritual—honoring life, presence, and the sacred in all things.
Known as the lead singer of GUACAYO, Sophie Alice has been pursuing a solo path since 2024.
From major festivals to venues across Europe and Mexico, Sophie has shared the stage with artists like Pahua, Mike Rauss, and Mose. Her recent concert, opening for Ayla Nereo in Berlin at Theater im Delphi, highlights her growing presence in the global music scene.
