What is Polarity Retreat and why should I join?
In the retreat there is a specific programme designed for men and a specific programme designed for women both including yoga, meditation, workshops and talks.
The men go on a journey exploring how they relate to masculinity – or in the Tantric tradition the conscious principle known as Shiva – and how they can develop their masculine qualities. This is explored through the various tantric practices including self-enquiry, archetypal models and self-transfiguration. For the men, it is also essential in how they relate to the feminine, which in the Tantric tradition is referred to as ‘Shakti’ – the energy and life force of creation. The adoration of men towards the women as Shakti is transforming the experience from simple fleeting interactions to an inner attitude which becomes the cornerstone of the man.
During this retreat, the women will enjoy a programme where they can unveil layer by layer the vastness of their femininity. The women can understand more their relationship to ‘Shakti’ and all the ways they can invite Her into their life more, allowing for a greater feeling of nourishment, contentment and elation! Deepening their connection to their feminine heart, the women discover a deepened admiration and appreciation for the masculine, ‘Shiva’, realising there is nothing without Him and He is within everything.
Throughout the week, there are meaningful interactions between the men and women, which give us the direct experience of the masculine and feminine uniting. These interactions can be spontaneous, however are facilitated in a space of love, understanding and attention.
